I want to introduce you to the expertise that SunCorp has in the people that work here. Since these people work for SunCorp, they also work for you. Therefore, we encourage you to use these experts as resources and access them for questions and consultation for the benefit of your credit union.
This month I would like to introduce you to two of our experts in the Automated Clearing House Network, better known as simply ACH. These experts are Ed Beck and Jill Case.
Ed Beck, our Training & Education Specialist, has been working with credit unions since the 1980s and with SunCorp since 1991. He has always worked on ACH issues as part of his duties at SunCorp, but the work has increased greatly as the ACH Network grew rapidly in the past 15 years. He was designated as an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) by the National ACH Association in 1997. Ed has developed SunCorp’s various ACH training programs and other resources available at our ACH News & Information webpage. He also provides recommendations on compliance, credit union member service, and origination issues for ACH; as well as, BSA/OFAC compliance and training, and general payment systems training for our credit union members. Ed can be reached for questions and consultation via email at ebeck@suncorp.coop.
Most general ACH and APEX ACH System questions from credit unions are handled by Jill Case, Payment Services Representative, who specializes in ACH matters. She started working in credit unions in 2001, joined SunCorp in 2006, and received her AAP designation in 2007. As our primary ACH contact, Jill deals with ACH rules questions, exception handling, settlement balancing issues, and specific APEX ACH System features, including its numerous ACH origination capabilities. She spends much of her time on the telephone with credit unions – consulting with and training our members on the always changing, challenging, and growing ACH network. Jill can be reached by phone at (720) 540-4657 or email at jcase@suncorp.coop.
For the next several months, we will be including a monthly article discussing the people at SunCorp and their expertise. Please keep an eye out for these future articles and please use these people as resources for the benefit of your credit union. We thank you for your support and your business.![]()
